# Survey Instrument Person
South Florida $17.75 $25/hour + Overtime ️ Entry-Level Opportunity**
A growing surveying and engineering organization is seeking **Survey Instrument Persons** to join its field team in South Florida. This is an excellent **entry-level opportunity** for individuals interested in building a long-term career in land surveying.
No prior surveying experience is required. Candidates with backgrounds in **construction, road crews, flagging, warehouse work, landscaping, outdoor labor, or other physically active environments** are encouraged to apply.
### What You'll Do
* Assist the Survey Party Chief with land surveying projects involving roads, bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure
* Set up and operate surveying equipment, including **GPS, levels, and data collectors**
* Assist with construction stakeout and location surveys
* Establish and mark lines, points, stakes, and survey control points
* Assist with property and boundary survey activities
* Perform field measurements and other surveying tasks as directed
* Help maintain accurate field data and equipment
* Work as part of a survey crew in outdoor environments
### What We're Looking For
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Valid driver's license
* Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn
* Comfortable working outdoors in **heat and challenging terrain**
* Ability to walk and perform physically active work throughout the workday
* Construction, outdoor labor, warehouse, or similar experience is helpful but **not required**
* Ability to pass required background and motor vehicle record checks
