Surveillance Agent
Under the general supervision of the Director of Observation, the Surveillance Agent will conduct a full spectrum of observation support services including but not limited to ensuring the security and safety of guests, employees, cash and physical assets of the Colusa Casino & Bingo and its properties, by maintaining appropriate camera coverage. The incumbent is expected to work in accordance with the mission, purpose, and values of the Colusa Indian Community Council.
Essential duties and responsibilities include maintaining a high level of confidentiality, monitoring camera coverage to ensure the integrity of gambling, banking, count room and cash handling procedures and take appropriate actions to protect funds and prevent further losses; reviewing surveillance coverage on cases of patron/internal control disputes; immediately reporting suspicious or unusual activities to Surveillance Supervisor/MOD/OIC and document information immediately; thorough knowledge of applicable company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future; ensuring all equipment used by the Observation Department is functioning as intended; reviewing camera coverage to ensure that the movement of all chips, cash and funds transferred within the Casino are under constant observation; ensuring all information is shared with the next shift; maintaining daily log sheets and completing incident reports to note all unusual customer and/or employee behavior, inadequate surveillance coverage, inoperable equipment or procedural errors made by employees; coordinating with security personnel to provide optimum security services; maintaining a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with fellow team members, and management; and may perform other duties commensurate with the functions and level of the position.
Minimum qualifications include a high school graduate or equivalent, prior work experience in gaming industry with an emphasis in table games, surveillance, investigative revenue audit, or cage operations, being eighteen (18) years of age, possessing a valid California Class C driver's license, and meeting standards established for a gaming license.
Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities include being knowledgeable about modern methods of surveillance and security, first aid and fire safety procedures, detainment and arrest procedures, investigative techniques and handling evidence; proficiency performing maintenance on surveillance cameras and monitors, recording devices and hand held communication devices; ability to perform maintenance on all equipment used by the Observation Department; ability to perform assigned job duties under constant time pressures; strong PC knowledge; ability to quickly add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to perform assigned duties in highly interruptive conditions; ability to produce organized and clear reports; maintaining high confidentiality standards at all times; and being a dedicated worker with ability to report to work on a daily basis.
Physical requirements include frequent stand, stoop, bend and/or kneel in a smoke-filled, noisy environment; occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25-50 pounds; and work area is subject to variable temperatures.
