Job Title: Surgical Technology Instructor

Location: Anaheim, CA 92801

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $32.00 - $39.90 hourly

Position Summary

The Surgical Technology Instructor is responsible for delivering a quality educational experience for students by ensuring curriculum is current, using effective delivery methods, and maintaining fairness and equity among all students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach and implement curriculum objectives under the direction of the Director of Surgical Technology.
• Prepare, administer, grade, and record formative and summative examinations.
• Discuss students’ concerns related to learning and academic progress.
• Plan and assign student activities in classroom and clinical settings to achieve program objectives.
• Maintain records of student progress, attendance, and grades.
• Serve as a professional role model for students.
• Select and prepare instructional materials.
• Develop written lesson plans and deliver them through lecture, demonstration, and discussion.
• Provide a copy of all lesson plans to the Director of Surgical Technology.
• Identify individual and collective learning needs, and support student development.
• Participate in regular meetings with the Program Director or designee.
• Assist students in developing values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health‑care profession.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Lab Instruction

Oversee and facilitate laboratory sessions, provide hands‑on instruction, ensure safety protocols are followed, and foster a supportive learning environment.

Education and Experience

• Credential in Surgical Technology from a national credentialing organization accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
• Minimum of three (3) years of operating‑room experience or teaching experience in the field within five years prior to hire date.
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) or AS in ST credential required.
