WESTERN IOWA TECH COMMUNITY COLLEGE EMPLOYMENT
Teach Surgical Technology and related courses. Other duties include, but are not limited to, classroom management, teaching laboratory sessions, and Clinical Instruction.
- Work directly in the clinical or lab setting to guide and teach students, evaluate students’ performance and provide feedback.
- Effective organizational skills, particularly as they relate to the teaching-learning process.
- Demonstrated experience in student learning and teaching excellence.
- An understanding of the community college philosophy and the community college student.
- Experience with alternative learning delivery methods and systems.
- Commitment to cultural diversity among students, faculty, and in the curriculum.
- Experience in delivering computer-enhanced laboratory simulations.
- Computer experience in common software and Internet.
- Successful teaching experience.

Required Qualifications
- Credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies ( NCCA ).
- Associate degree in Surgical Technology or related field – Preferred
- Three (3) years’ experience in Surgical Technology industry.
