Surgical Technologist

Overview

Base pay range: $54.00/hr - $56.00/hr

Assignment Length: 59-Day Contract (Extension Based on Performance)

Pay Rate: Up to $56/hour

We are seeking a Certified Operating Room Technician to join a respected healthcare facility in Bronxville, NY. This is a full-time, 59-day contract position covering the Labor & Delivery OR with potential for extension based on performance. The ideal candidate will be experienced in perioperative patient care and surgical support, particularly in labor and delivery procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical teams during obstetric and gynecological procedures (e.g., cesarean sections)
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly prepared and handled
• Provide direct support during preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesiologists to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Clean and restock operating rooms and maintain inventory
• Comply with hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist by: The Association of Surgical Technologists OR The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
• Knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and patient care
• Availability to work 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends

Preferred:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an OR Tech in a labor and delivery setting
