Here, the Surgical Technologist will work with world‑renowned surgeons and anesthesiologists, assist on unique and complex procedures, and play a vital role in developing new procedures and treatment protocols.
Work Schedule
- 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; call and holiday rotation
- POD 3 specialized in high acuity cardiothoracic, transplant, and vascular surgeries
Responsibilities
- Prepares the operating room for surgical patients, reviews preference cards to determine surgeon needs, obtains the necessary supplies and equipment for the procedure, ensures cleanliness of the room, and assists with opening sterile supplies.
- Performs surgical scrub duties and assists with the collection, identification, and disposition of cultures and specimens.
- Assists in turning over the room and ensures supplies, instruments, and equipment are returned to the proper location.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- No prior experience required
Preferred Requirements
- Accredited Surgical Program
- Surgical Technician license or certification
