LewisGale Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Tech Certified Cardiovascular to join our operating room team.

- Labels all medications on the sterile field.
- Demonstrates a complete knowledge of instrumentation/sequence of procedure.
- Able to scrub independently on small to moderate and specialty cases.

- AssiststheRegisteredNursewithcirculatingduties
- Organizes the operating room with instruments, supplies, and equipment needed for the day.
- Shows knowledge of circulating components/responsibilities asevidencedby completion of skills checklist.
- Able toassistprimary circulator in his/her role.
- Able to place cautery dispersive electrode onappropriate bodyparts knowing to check bony prominences; and for metal implants/assess need for shaving atboviesite.
- Applies principles of standard andtransmission basedprecautions.
- Helpsmaintaina safe environment for personnel and patients.
- Assistsprimary circulator to ensure smooth flow in the O.R.
- Assumes responsibility to check the following cases of the day for accuracy and location of needed instrumentation.
- Obtains needed medications from drug cart and pharmacy for circulator.
- Able to independently performpreps.

Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program -Required
- 3+ years of experience in Surgical Technology -Preferred
- Basic Cardiac Life Support -Required
- Certified Surgical Technician – VA - Required

Hourly Wage Estimate: $27.36 - $38.30 / hour
