This position is an integral part of our surgical team. We care for patients undergoing a variety of procedures including GI endoscopy, General surgery and outreach surgeons. Experience as a CST is preferred, but we are willing to train the right applicant. This position typically works 6:30am-3:00pm, has call obligations of 1-2 nights per work week and every 3-4 weekend with 1-2 holidays per year. Scheduled work hours will vary depending on patient needs.**Summary**Surgical technologists are an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing surgical care to patients. It takes all of us to make a difference!**Qualifications**An applicant will perform a variety of tasks including scrubbing for cases, reprocessing and managing sterile instrumentation, handling, maintaining, and re-processing endoscopic equipment, and ordering/maintaining supplies related to surgery.In this position you will work closely with surgeons, anesthesia, nurses, as well as other health care personnel. Great communication skills, a willingness to learn, and work well by yourself as well as in a team environment are a must.This position requires an ability to operate various operating room equipment/supplies and an ability to type and use a computer.
