Status: Full Time
Schedule: 4 10-hour shifts or 3 12-hour shifts - 2-3 call shifts per month including 1 24-hour weekend call shift

What You'll Do
- Assisting with patient positioning and surgical site preparation
- Controlling bleeding through suctioning, clamping, and cauterization
- Handling and manipulating tissues during surgery
- Holding retractors and maintaining clear visualization of the surgical field
- Applying dressings and supporting postoperative care in the OR
- Maintaining sterile technique and supporting infection prevention protocols
What We're Looking For
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology program or Military Training Equivalent (68D – Operating Room Specialist). For incumbents who are not graduates of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or have certification please see additional skills required.
- Experience: Previous Surgical Technologist experience, preferred.
- Licensure/certification/registration: Current Surgical Tech Certification (CST, TS-C, NRCST, or SA-C), preferred.
- Additional skills required: For incumbents who are not graduates of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or have certification the following additional requirements apply: new graduates must obtain certification within 12months of hire. Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing. Demonstrate effective and appropriate customer service skills, verbal and nonverbal communication techniques, interpersonal relationship skills, and time management skills
