Key Responsibilities:
- Positioning the patient for the procedure, dressing wounds, and transporting them to and from the operating room
- Communicating the surgeons preferences and patient needs to the surgical team, helping the surgeon apply surgical techniques, and providing intraoperative skills
- Implementing safety measures before, during and after surgery and preventing bleeding; selecting equipment, restocking supplies, and cleaning and sterilizing instruments
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Surgical Technologist Certification
- License to work as a Surgical Assistant
