Overview
The Surgical Technologist 2 prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures. Follows hospital regulations and industry procedures to tend to patients during pre-operation procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment for surgical procedures.
- Perform pre-operation preparations to the patient's skin, body, and related medical equipment.
- Assist with patient transport to and from the operating room as needed.
- Work under general supervision and apply education, some experience, and judgment to accomplish tasks.
- Demonstrate creativity and some latitude in completing responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Relevant education or training and some professional experience in a surgical setting.
- Ability to follow hospital regulations and industry procedures.
- Strong attention to safety and sterile technique.
- Ability to perform duties with supervision and apply professional judgment.
