Our client is currently seeking a Travel Surgical Technician Shift: Days (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) | 40 Hours per Week
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join its Operating Room team. In this role, you will assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures, ensure proper preparation and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment, and support safe, efficient patient care throughout the perioperative process.
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist during a variety of surgical procedures.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure operating rooms are properly stocked and ready for procedures.
- Assist physicians and nurses throughout surgical cases.
- Maintain sterile technique and comply with infection prevention standards.
- Support day-to-day department operations.
- Monitor and maintain equipment functionality and cleanliness.
- Stay current with clinical skills, certifications, and required training.
- Adapt to changing patient and procedural needs while maintaining quality care.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience in a hospital or surgical setting
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) (Online certification not accepted)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
