Responsibilities

• The Obstetrical Surgical Technician performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care tasks under the direction of R.N., including but not limited to vital signs, assistance with personal care, surgical scrub and prep.
• Implements and plans equipment/instruments for patient care procedures.

Requirements

• Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of medical terminology. Able to read, write and communicate in English. Completion of Certified Surgical Technician program.
• Experience: One year of prior experience as PCA or Scrub Tech preferred.
• Licensure, Registration or Certification: Surgical Technician Certification required within one year of employment.
