Surgical Technologist – Community Surgery Center – Glendale, CA

As a Surgical Tech, you'll play a vital role in bringing that mission to life. Working under the direction of the surgeon and fluoroscopy provider, utilizing C-Arms and Mini C-Arms to produce high-quality diagnostic images of patients during surgical procedures and other fluoroscopy-guided interventions.

In this role, you will play an important supportive role communicating with our surgeons and fluoroscopy provider to produce high-quality diagnostic images of patients during surgical procedures and other fluoroscopy-guided interventions while being responsible for orderliness and stocking of x-ray areas. You’ll also maintain records and equipment before, during, and after procedures, along with moving equipment between operating rooms and storage locations. Additionally, you will ensure the safety of all personal with within the range of radiologic exposure are adequately protected/ wearing the essential radiation PPE.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Under direction of the surgeon and/or fluoroscopy licensed medical provider, utilize C-Arms and Mini C-Arms to image patients during surgery/ procedures Independently set up and enter patient information into the imaging system.
  • Follow direction from surgeon/ fluoroscopy licensed medical provider to appropriately image patient.
  • Maintain records and equipment before, during, and after procedures.
  • Move imaging and protective equipment between operating rooms and storage locations independently.
  • Ensure all persons in range of radiologic exposure are adequately protected.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding imaging.
  • Responsible for orderliness and stocking of x-ray areas.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Must have active California Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy Permit.
  • Graduate of an AMA approved program of Radiology Technology is required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Must have two-year experience with C-Arms, mini C-Arms and surgical procedures.
  • Ability to work in multi-task, high stress environment.
  • Adhere to 4 10 hour shifts a week.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated pay range for this position is between $32.00 per hour to $35.00 per hour , with actual compensation based on experience, licensure, skills, qualifications, and market factors.
