Fall River, MA | 13-Week Travel Contract | 40 Hours/Week

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at Charlton Memorial Hospital, part of Southcoast Health. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Surgical Tech with robotics, total joint, and endovascular experience to join a busy, advanced surgical team.

Position Details

  • Location: Fall River, MA

  • Start Date: August 24, 2026

  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks

  • Schedule: 40 Hours Per Week

  • Mix of:

  • 8-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

  • 10-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)

  • Phone Interview Required

  • Call Required:

  • Weekday call following scheduled shifts

  • Weekend call coverage

Compensation

  • Travel Pay Package: Up to $2,122/Week

Responsibilities

  • Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures

  • Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures

  • Ensure proper functioning and availability of surgical instruments and equipment

  • Maintain sterile technique and patient safety standards

  • Support a variety of surgical specialties, including robotic, orthopedic, vascular, and endovascular procedures

  • Document and communicate effectively with the surgical team

Qualifications

  • National Surgical Technologist Certification Required (NBSTSA or NCCT)

  • Minimum 2 Years of Surgical Technologist Experience

  • Da Vinci Robotics Experience Required

  • Mako Total Joint Experience Required

  • Endovascular Experience Required, including:

  • TEVAR

  • EVAR

  • TCAR

  • Angiograms

  • Venograms

  • Epic EMR Experience Preferred

The Surgical Technician/Tissue Processing Technician is responsible for the sterilization of surgical equipment, arrange surgical equipment and adjust medical tools to ensure that the surgical devices are functioning properly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Surgical Technologist certification as applicable per state and/or client requirement

  • One year experience as a Surgical Technician preferred (Tissue Processing Technologist - only)

  • Degree in biology related field which includes a degree / certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred

  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

  • Current CPR if applicable

  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
