Position Overview

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Surgical Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Burlington, Massachusetts . This opportunity is ideal for a highly skilled Surgical Tech with extensive large hospital experience and the ability to independently support complex surgical procedures, including transplant, cardiac, and vascular cases.

Call Requirements:

  Approximately 3 call shifts per month

  Call may include:

  11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

  7:00 PM – 11:00 PM

  6:00 AM – 6:30 PM

  6:30 PM – 6:30 AM

  Weekend call consists of one 12-hour shift on either Saturday or Sunday

Requirements

Qualified candidates must possess:

  NBSTSA Certification (Required)

  n
n
• n

  Current BLS Certification

  n
n
• n

  Minimum of 3 years of Surgical Tech experience

  n
n
• n

  4 to 5 years strongly preferred

  n
n
• n

  Recent large hospital experience required

  n
n
• n

  Extensive multi-specialty surgical experience

  n
n
• n

  Ability to independently scrub:

  n

• n

  Transplant procedures

  n
n
• n

  Cardiac cases

  n
n
• n

  Vascular cases

  n
n
• n

  Epic EMR experience required

  n

• n

  Flu vaccination required prior to start

  n

• n

  Travel candidates only

Compensation

Travel Package

  Up to $2,258/week

  Includes taxable hourly wages and eligible housing and meal stipends

The Surgical Technician/Tissue Processing Technician is responsible for the sterilization of surgical equipment, arrange surgical equipment and adjust medical tools to ensure that the surgical devices are functioning properly.

Minimum Requirements:

  Surgical Technologist certification as applicable per state and/or client requirement

  n

• n

  One year experience as a Surgical Technician preferred (Tissue Processing Technologist – only)

  n

• n

  Degree in biology related field which includes a degree / certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred

  n

• n

  Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

  n
n
• n

  Current CPR if applicable

  n
n
• n

  TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  n
n
• n

  Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

  n
n
• n

  Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

  n

• n

  Must be at least 18 years of age
