Role:

Surgical Technician

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assist in surgical procedures, handling instruments, sutures, and sponges while maintaining aseptic technique.
• Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are ready for scheduled surgeries.
• Maintain a clean, sterile OR environment, sterilize equipment, and restock supplies.
• Assist in patient transportation, verification, and positioning for surgery.
• Support as a second circulator, participate in department education, evaluate surgical products, and contribute to policy development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited surgical technician program or equivalent training.
• Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists preferred.
• One to two years of surgical technician experience preferred.
• Ability to stand long periods and lift up to 5 pounds.
• Call commitment required.
