Job responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient evaluations that involve physical examinations and meticulous reviews of medical histories
• Assist in diagnosing surgical issues by interpreting imaging studies and lab results accurately
• Work in tandem with surgeons to develop and implement patient-centered surgical treatment strategies
• Provide critical intraoperative assistance, including preparing operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and passing instruments during surgical procedures
• Deliver outstanding pre- and post-operative care, which encompasses medication administration, wound management, discharge planning, as well as patient education

Qualifications

• Master's degree from a recognized physician assistant program
• Relevant clinical rotations focused on surgical specialties are strongly preferred

Licenses and certifications

• Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must hold state licensure (or be eligible) as a physician assistant
