Surgical First Assist (CSFA or RNFA)

A surgical first assist services group is seeking a CSFA or RNFA in Phoenix, Arizona for a dedicated spine team, first assisting in neurosurgery & orthopedic spine cases. Monday to Friday, 30 to 35 hours, no call and no weekends. Guaranteed salary of $110,000 to $135,000 base plus quarterly bonuses!

The role

• First assisting on neurosurgical & orthopedic and spine cases — cervical, thoracic and lumbar — alongside both neurosurgeons and orthopedic spine surgeons
• Established surgical services organization with a consistent spine case mix and a stable weekly schedule. Ability to also assist in general surgery and robotics if desired.
• First assistants here move into management roles over time, so there is upward mobility within the group and growth opportunity if desired
• Cases are minimal invasive focused and include: ACDFs, microdiscectomies, laminectomies, XLIFs and PSF. No multi-level scoliosis.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Typically 30 to 35 hours per week
• No call, no weekends, no holidays
• Expect days were you will be done before 2pm

Compensation and benefits

• Guaranteed base salary of $110,000 – $135,000, per year and based on experience
• Sign on Bonus and relocation offered
• Quarterly bonus opportunity up to $8k per year

What we are looking for

• Active CSFA (Certified Surgical First Assistant) or RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant) credential
• At least 1 year of spine surgery first assisting experience, orthopedic or neurosurgical
• Comfortable as the first assistant working alongside the operating surgeon on open and minimally invasive spine cases
