Surgery - Thoracic Physician

Cardiothoracic Surgery Position in OhioLocated in PortsmouthFull-Time & PermanentSeeking a BE/BC Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join practice. Practice Full breadth of cardiothoracic surgery:

• CABG
• valve replacement
• surgical ablation
• pacemakers
• VATS
• Thoracotomy
• Esophagectomy
• hiatal hernia repair
Details:
• Monday-Thursday, 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.; Friday, 7:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
• Two to three half-day clinics
• Join 5 physicians and 6 APPs and 2 surgical first assists
• Call 1:3 rotation shared with two physicians
• 10-15 patients per half-day clinic
• 1-2 office procedures/day
• Loop recorder removal
• Varies 1-6+ hospital procedures/day
• Hospital: full cardiac surgical resources and cardiopulmonary bypass
• da Vinci robotic surgical system
Requirements:
• Experience performing a full range of adult cardiac procedures, including coronary artery bypass and valve surgery
• Participate in the cardiothoracic surgery call schedule
• Collaborate closely with cardiology, vascular surgery, anesthesia, advanced practice providers, and other members of the multidisciplinary heart and vascular team
• Demonstrate a commitment to quality outcomes, patient safety, and evidence-based care
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with patients, families, referring providers, and team members
