Facility:
This hospital-based facility provides comprehensive neurosurgical services to the northern Michigan region and is fully equipped with on-site imaging, lab, procedure rooms, and operating rooms. The care team includes a neurosurgeon, an ortho-spinal surgeon, and neurosurgery APPs supporting clinic operations, ensuring strong collegial support for the covering provider.

Job Details:

• Provide 24-hour call coverage plus inpatient rounding and admissions in a hospital-based setting
• Provider MUST be able to perform both spinal and cranial neurosurgery - this is a critical requirement
• Manage emergent call, emergent surgeries, and daily inpatient rounding
• Expected patient volume of 5-10 inpatients per day
• Current open coverage blocks include 10/2/2026 8am - 10/6/2026 8am and 10/29/2026 8am - 11/6/2026 8am
• Board certification required; board eligible providers will not be considered
• Active Michigan license required; IMLC accepted only with a 100% clean background
• ACLS certification required
• Clean background with no adverse actions required; minimal malpractice history acceptable
• Completed fellowship with a minimum of 2-3 years of post-fellowship experience required
• Copy of NPDB self-query pulled within the last month required at time of submission
• EMR platform is Cerner
• Rates and specific availability must be submitted at time of name clearance - no exceptions
• Provider will use Doctime to clock in and out; no paper timesheets accepted

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
