We are seeking a Locums Critical Care and Trauma SurgeryPhysician to provide inpatient trauma and surgicalcritical care coverage in Worcester, Massachusetts . Thisopportunity offers a fast-paced practice environment with a strongmultidisciplinary support team and a minimum anticipated need of three months.
Compensation: $325-$400 Per Hour

- Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
- Assignment Length: 3 months or longer
- Current Need: 16 open shifts in December, with additional coverage needs anticipated January through March
- Travel: Paid
- Weekday Shifts: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Weekday Call: 4:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Weekend Call: 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM
- Manage an average trauma inpatient census of 30-50 patients
- Two attending physicians provide daytime service coverage
- Respond to approximately 10-20 trauma activations per 24-hour period
- Approximately 90-95% of trauma cases are blunt trauma
- Some call shifts may include coverage of emergency general surgery in addition to trauma
- Manage approximately 0-8 emergency general surgery consults , depending on call volume
- Perform 0-3 emergency operative cases as needed, including cases such as perforated viscus
- EMR: Epic
- Massachusetts medical license: Active MA license required
- Fellowship: Surgical Critical Care fellowship required
- DEA and CSR: Required
