We are seeking aLocums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician for a hospital-based opportunity inLima, Ohio. This position provides adult cardiothoracic surgical care with acombination of rounding and 24-hour call coverage.
Position Highlights
- 24-hour call shifts: 7:00 AM-7:00 AM
- Coverage dates: 9/11 at 7:00 AM - 9/16 at 7:00 AM
- 10-14 days of call coverage per month needed
- Weekend coverage required
- Hospital-based rounding and call
- Average 1 case per day
- Level II Trauma Center
- 20 operating rooms
- Adult patient population
- EMR: Epic
Responsibilities
- Provide cardiothoracic surgical coverage and inpatient rounding.
- Respond to surgical consultations and emergencies while on call.
- Perform and manage cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
- Evaluate and manage pre- and post-operative patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Provide appropriate follow-up and management of surgical patients.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship training required
- Active Ohio medical license required
- BLS and ACLS required
