  • Coverage Type: 24-Hour Call Only (Emergency General Surgery & Trauma Coverage)
  • Shift Window: 7:00 AM 7:00 AM (24-Hour Call Blocks)
  • Confirmed 2026 Call Blocks:
    • October: 10/23 (7:00 AM) 10/26 (7:00 AM) 10/29 (7:00 AM) 11/2 (7:00 AM)
    • November (Thanksgiving Block): 11/26 (7:00 AM) 11/30 (7:00 AM)
    • December / New Year's Block: 12/24 (7:00 AM) 1/3 (7:00 AM)
Clinical Scope & Procedural Workload
  • Required Procedures: Emergency General Surgery, Trauma management, Bowel Resection, Perforation repair, Incision & Drainage (I&D) of abscesses, and complex Wound Care
Qualifications & Mandatory Requirements
  • Board Status: Board Certified (BC) in General Surgery
  • Licensure: Active Kentucky State Medical License or active IMLC (Compact) license
  • Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
