• Position: General Surgery Physician - Locum Tenens

• Duration: 2 days
• Coverage Dates: 10/9/2026 through 10/11/2026
• Schedule: Starts at 7:00 AM CST on 10/9 and ends at 7:00 AM on 10/11
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,160 - $7,290
• Patient Volume: Approximately 20 patient encounters per shift
• Setting: Inpatient consults, emergency department coverage, and rounding

• At least 1 year of general surgery experience required
• Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience in adult general surgery care
• Trauma surgery experience required
• Laparoscopic surgery experience required
• Chest tube insertion experience required
• Central line insertion experience required
• Vascular access device experience required
• Ability to manage inpatient consults and emergency room surgical needs

• Provide general surgery coverage for inpatient consults and emergency department needs
• Round on hospitalized patients requiring surgical evaluation and follow-up
• Perform and manage common general surgery procedures, including laparoscopic cases
• Support trauma-related surgical care as needed
• Perform procedures such as chest tube insertion, central line insertion, and vascular access device placement
• Deliver timely, patient-centered surgical assessment and care coordination
• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure smooth locum tenens coverage throughout the assignment
