This is a large, well-established hospital facility featuring a 200-bed department that serves the surrounding community with comprehensive surgical and emergency care services. The facility operates as a Level 3 trauma center, providing a dynamic and fast-paced environment with strong support for locum providers.

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens engagement beginning 7am CST on 10/9 through 7am CST on 10/11
• No clinic coverage required; responsibilities include inpatient consults and emergency room coverage
• Rounding on any inpatient surgical consults
• Up to 20 patient encounters per shift
• Must hold an active Alabama license or IMLC
• Board certification required; credentialing timeframe approximately 30 days
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Level 3 trauma center
• General surgery required, including adult and trauma cases
• Laparoscopic surgery required, including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and Nissen fundoplication
• Chest wall and pleural procedures required
• Chest tube insertion required
• Central line insertion required
• Vascular surgery required, including vascular access devices

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
