- Diagnose and evaluate orthopedic conditions using physical exams and diagnostic imaging
- Develop personalized treatment plans combining surgical and non-surgical options
- Perform orthopedic procedures including joint replacements, fracture repairs, and arthroscopy
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care for optimal recovery
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists and rehabilitation specialists
- Participate in rotating on-call coverage assigned to orthopedic services
- Maintain accurate medical records documenting evaluations, treatments, and surgical outcomes
- Communicate effectively with patients and families about diagnoses and care options
- Stay current with advancements in orthopedic surgery and incorporate evidence-based practices
- Engage in continuing medical education and professional development activities
Required:
- Valid Vermont medical license
- Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
- Proven proficiency in orthopedic surgical techniques
- Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Prior experience in a hospital setting
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
