• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM with floor call/beeper coverage from 3:00 PM-7:00 AM; Saturday and Sunday include 24-hour onsite support with floor call or OR call
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,510-$4,160
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric
• Documentation System: Epic

Job Requirements

• Active Ohio Physician Assistant license required
• Board certification in Vascular Surgery required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active DEA registration required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery required
• Clean background with no malpractice or license issues required
• Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced inpatient surgical environment

Responsibilities

• Provide post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients
• Assist in surgical procedures and support emergency surgical cases as needed
• Take consults and referrals from the ED, Cath Lab, and other hospital providers
• Round on patients, coordinate care, and interpret diagnostic tests
• Order tests, write prescriptions, and maintain clear documentation in Epic
• Perform vein harvesting and retrieve vascular tissue for bypass conduit use
• Support call coverage and weekend coverage as part of the surgical team
