What You ll Do
- Conduct morning rounds, monitor patient progress, and update daily notes
- Assist in all cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including robotic lobectomy, CABG, valve surgeries, and more
- Manage postoperative care, chest tubes, and patient discharges
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during rounds and procedures
- Support in ICU and OR settings; no clinic responsibilities involved
- Respond to emergency calls and provide on-call coverage on a rotational basis
- Assist with endoscopic vein and radial harvesting, conduit preparation, and postoperative care
What You Need
- Current Physician Assistant licensure in Washington
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery or related field
- Strong knowledge of cardiothoracic procedures, ICU protocols, and patient management
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond effectively to emergent situations
