What You ll Do:
  • Take patient histories and perform physical examinations in a trauma setting
  • Assist in surgical procedures as first or second assist under supervision
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and radiology studies
  • Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations promptly
  • Instruct and counsel patients on their health, medications, and follow-up care
  • Facilitate patient admissions and manage medical records
  • Assist in procedures such as wound care, fracture management, and central line insertions
  • Support acute trauma care, including chest tube insertion, burn care, and foreign body removal

What You Need:
  • Valid CA state physician assistant license
  • Proven trauma and surgical assisting experience
  • Certification in BLS, ACLS; ATLS preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong clinical judgment and effective communication skills
