REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Local anesthesia
  • Laceration Repair
  • Dressing changes
  • Drain Removal
  • Suture Removal
  • Debridement and closure of wounds: Skin and subcutaneous
  • Debridement of wounds: Superficial
  • Basic Management of non-displaced fractures
  • Removal of superficial foreign bodies
  • Provide hemostasis
  • Insert and remove packing
  • Incision and drainage
  • Cervical Spine clearance
  • Chest tube removal
  • Burn Management, partial thickness less than 10%
  • Laceration Repair: Intermediate
  • Arterial Line Insertion
  • Fracture reductions with minimal or moderate displacement
  • Reduction of simple dislocations
  • Central Line Insertion
  • Chest Tuber Insertion

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: NCCPA or ANCC Certified
  • Licenses: Active CA license
  • DEA: Active DEA Certification
  • Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS
  • Experience: Trauma/Critical Care experience
  • Other Qualifications: Clean malpractice/background, Local preferred, Actively working at TJC-accredited hospital
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Take patient history; perform physical exam; make assessment and diagnosis; record data in meaningful manner.
  • Order x-ray, other studies, therapeutic diets, physical therapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, and nursing services.
  • Order, perform, or assist in lab procedures, screening procedures, and therapeutic procedures.
  • Recognize and evaluate emergencies; institute life-saving treatment when necessary.
  • Instruct and counsel patients regarding physical and mental health, including medications, diets, and disease management.
