Shift Details
Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM with floor call/beeper call from 3:00 PM-7:00 AM
Saturday and Sunday 24-hour onsite support with floor call or OR call
Weekend coverage required
In-house and beeper/phone call coverage required

Requirements
Board Certified - Vascular Surgery
Active Ohio license or compact license
Active ACLS
Active DEA
Clean background with no malpractice or license issues
5 years of experience in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery services

Required Procedures / Skills
Post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients
Emergency cardiothoracic and vascular surgery support
Consults and referrals from ED, Cath Lab, and hospital providers
Vein harvesting during heart surgery
Assist in surgery
Write prescriptions
Coordination of care
Rounding
Interpret tests
Order tests
Vein harvesting
Retrieval of vascular tissues for use as a bypass conduit

Assignment Details
Inpatient/Hospital-Based setting
Adult and geriatric patient population
Average patient volume: 20-26 patients per day
Trauma Level 2
EMR: Epic
1 provider needed
Reason for coverage: Growth
Average callback hours: Approximately 10 hours on weekends
Could possibly supervise/teach
