Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Cardiothoracic
Job Details:
Provide locum coverage for cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, with at least 1 to 2 weeks of coverage per month needed through 2027 Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with floor call/beeper coverage from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM Saturday and Sunday require 24-hour on-site support and floor call or OR call coverage Inpatient/hospital-based practice setting serving adult and geriatric patient populations Average of 20 to 26 patients per day in a Level 2 Trauma designated facility Provide post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular patients Perform emergency surgery on cardiothoracic and vascular patients Take consults and referrals from the emergency department, cath lab, and all hospital providers Perform vein harvesting and retrieval of vascular tissues for use as a bypass conduit Assist in surgery, write prescriptions, coordinate care, perform rounding, and interpret and order tests May be required to supervise or teach other providers EMR documentation completed in Epic Minimum 5 years of experience in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery services required Board certification in vascular surgery required Active Ohio license or compact license, active ACLS, and active DEA required Clean background with no malpractice or license issues required, no exceptions Facility:
