Surgical Technologist
Location: CA
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Day shift, 5x8 hour shifts from 06:45 to 19:15. Must be available to float and cover weekend shifts as per unit needs.
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably 5 years, to join our dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in various surgical procedures, particularly in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Robotics, and Trauma.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in surgical procedures by providing sterile instruments and support to the surgical team.
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring all instruments are accounted for and functioning.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and surgeons to ensure efficient and safe procedures.
- Float to different ORs as required by patient needs and unit demands.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 3 years of Surgical Technology experience; 5 years preferred.
- CST certification required; NBSTSA preferred.
- Possession of a valid CA state license preferred; pending licenses accepted.
- Strong experience in Trauma Level I settings.
- Ability to maintain high standards of patient care and safety protocols.
