Surgical Technologist
This is a 13-week contract position.
We currently operate from , with variable shifts based on department needs. Applicants will be scheduled for 40 hours a week, with the possibility of 32 hours if there is a holiday.
Call coverage is required 24/7, with an average assignment of 1-2 times per week, plus up to 2 weekends per month. A 20-minute callback time is expected.
The Surgical Technologist will assist with turnover cleaning and transport patients as needed. The candidate will be required to independently scrub a variety of procedures including:
- General Surgery
- Orthopedic Surgery
- Vascular Surgery
- Ophthalmic Surgery
- Urology
- ENT
- Endoscopy
- Robotic Surgery
- Obstetrics
- Gynecology
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of the operating room and instruments for surgical procedures.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control procedures.
- Support surgical teams by passing instruments and supplies during procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a surgical technologist in a hospital setting.
- Active Hawaii State License required by the start of the assignment.
