Clinical Staff - Medical Ancillary Support

The Supply Technician is responsible for proper handling and dispensing of medical/surgical supplies in clinical areas, supply par and various inventory locations.

Responsibilities include accurately ordering and completely filling par levels of medical/surgical supplies in automated supply cabinets and manually controlled bulk par rooms. Daily checks of par areas, breaking down pallets and delivering supplies on carts, refilling central supply inventory locations, and adjusting inventory counts are required. The role also involves counting, managing, and placing replenishment orders as needed, rotating supplies into sterile and non-sterile areas on the FIFO basis, and performing cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory counts.

Additional duties include maintaining cabinets and carts in assigned areas in a neat and orderly manner, staffing the Central Supply dispatch window and tube system, issuing out procedural trays and carts, and being responsible for after-hour delivery of isolation cart.

Qualifications: High School plus six (6) months previous experience in supply distribution required, preferably in a healthcare environment.

Salary Information: Commensurate with education and experience.
