Supply Chain Specialist at Amazon
Location: On-site in Tempe, AZ
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 4-month contract, potential to convert
Openings: 2
Pay Rate: $20-21/hour
Schedule: 40 hours/week + OT as needed
Job Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day freight and transportation operations
- Communicate with carriers, vendors, suppliers, and internal Amazon teams
- Pull and analyze data from multiple databases using Excel/data management systems
- Create ad hoc reports and publish performance metrics
- Identify root causes behind operational issues/defects
- Analyze trends and recommend process improvements
- Escalate data discrepancies/issues and follow through to resolution
- Summarize weekly findings, variances to goals, and key insights for review meetings
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably Supply Chain or Business
- 1+ year working with computers/Microsoft Office
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Able to analyze data, identify trends/issues, and communicate findings
Nice to Haves
- Previous supply chain/logistics experience
- Scripting knowledge
