A fast growing Food & Restaurant business is now looking to hire a New Supply Chain Director to help propel the business to its next exciting phase of growth. Reporting to the C-suite, this role will oversee the End2End Supply Chain operations for the business, Lead a team of direct reports, and have an impactful role managing both A) Day2Day Supply Chain activities + B) Led strategic initiatives, contract negotiations, business leader activities with Exec Leadership that will help run the direction of travel in the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end supply chain, logistics, distribution, and procurement operations to ensure product availability, service excellence, and cost efficiency across the network.
- Manage strategic relationships with distributors, manufacturers, suppliers, and broadline partners, driving performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies, vendor agreements, and procurement programs that support business growth, mitigate risk, and deliver cost savings.
- Oversee forecasting, inventory management, contract renewals, pricing negotiations, and issue resolution across multiple distribution centers and product categories.
- Monitor key supply chain KPIs, service levels, invoice accuracy, rebate programs, and inventory health to improve operational performance.
- Ensure successful supply chain execution for new restaurant openings, new menu launches, and limited-time offerings, from product sourcing through system-wide roll-out.
- Lead supplier selection, strategic sourcing initiatives, and commodity market analysis to optimize costs and support informed business decisions.
- Maintain rigorous supplier standards related to food safety, quality, sustainability, ethical sourcing, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide financial leadership through budgeting, cost management, price impact analysis, performance reporting, and identification of savings opportunities.
- Direct the Supply Chain function by developing team strategy, mentoring leaders, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and communicating supply chain risks, opportunities, and performance to executive leadership and the board.
The successful candidate will ideally have
- 10+ years experience in Supply Chain management
- 5+ years Leadership in the Restaurant/Food space
- Bachelor’s degree (ideally in an analytical subject)
- Strong process improvement & cost saving accomplishments
- Experience with managing teams of direct reports
