Supply Chain AnalystOur client is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to support a manufacturing operation by managing supplier relationships, inventory levels, and purchase order performance. This individual will oversee approximately 15-20 suppliers, ensuring materials are delivered on time to support production while driving supplier accountability and continuous improvement initiatives.The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for monitoring open purchase orders, resolving material shortages, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future disruptions. This role requires strong analytical skills, supplier management experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions within the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesManage 15-20 supplier accounts and ensure timely material deliveries.Monitor purchase orders, shipment schedules, and inventory availability.Review supplier open-order reports and proactively address delivery risks.Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, shortages, delays, and recovery plans.Conduct 5 Why, 8D, or similar root cause investigations and drive permanent corrective actions.Partner with Operations, Planning, Purchasing, and other cross-functional teams to support production requirements.Analyze supply chain performance and identify opportunities for process improvement.Support both tactical and strategic supply chain initiatives.Communicate project status, risks, and business impacts to leadership.Develop and implement process enhancements that improve efficiency and supplier performance.Lead or participate in cross-functional projects related to inventory management, supplier performance, and operational effectiveness.Provide backup support to supply chain leadership and team members as needed.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree required; Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field preferred.Experience in supply chain, materials planning, purchasing, inventory control, procurement, or supplier management.Experience conducting root cause investigations using 5 Why, 8D, or similar methodologies.Proven experience managing material shortages, supplier escalations, recovery plans, and corrective actions.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:VLOOKUP/XLOOKUPHLOOKUPPivot TablesExperience working within ERP systems in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holland, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.65 - $40.87/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
