Flow Controller

We are seeking a Flow Controller to support upstream supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring a continuous flow of materials, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining alignment between demand, supply, and production needs. The ideal candidate is a mid-level supply chain professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting, builds strong relationships across teams, and brings strong planning, forecasting, and material flow management experience.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure continuous flow of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies to support production
  • Manage supplier relationships and maintain communication to ensure timely delivery and accuracy
  • Monitor and manage material requirements planning (MRP) messages daily
  • Create, update, and reschedule purchase orders to align with production needs
  • Manage open purchase orders and delivery schedules
  • Track and resolve material shortages, backorders, and supply issues
  • Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and drive improvements
  • Coordinate with internal teams across planning, sourcing, and operations
  • Support cost analysis initiatives, including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and short interval management processes
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or material planning
  • Strong understanding of planning, forecasting, and supply chain flow processes
  • Experience working directly with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred, but other systems acceptable)
  • Engineering degree or supply chain-related education
  • Experience with cost analysis and supply chain optimization
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
