As our company continues to grow, we are seeking a hands-on leader to support our underground utility operations.Job Summary:Cobalt Civil is seeking a dependable, experienced, and safety-focused Transmission Line Drill Crew Supervisor to lead and work alongside foundation drilling crews on transmission line and heavy civil construction projects. This position combines hands-on drilling support, equipment operation, and field leadership responsibilities while overseeing daily crew operations, safety, production, and quality performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in large diameter drilled shaft and pier construction, including transmission line foundations, substation foundations, and commercial drilled shaft applications.Key Responsibilities:Lead, supervise, and work alongside a crew of 4–6 employees in daily field operationsAssist with large diameter vertical drilling operations for transmission line and heavy civil foundation projectsCoordinate daily work assignments and maintain production schedulesEnsure all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and site-specific procedures are followedConduct pre-job planning, safety meetings, observations, and assist with incident investigationsSupport equipment setup, mobilization, troubleshooting, and daily maintenance activitiesOversee drilled shaft and pier construction activities including layout, excavation, casing installation, reinforcing placement, and concrete operationsMonitor crew productivity, workmanship, and jobsite conditions to ensure quality performanceRead and interpret construction plans, layouts, shaft details, and field instructionsCommunicate with Project Managers, inspectors, subcontractors, and customer representatives as neededCoordinate materials, tooling, and support equipment required for daily operationsMaintain daily reports, crew documentation, production tracking, and time entryTrain, mentor, and develop crew members in safe and efficient work practicesTravel Monday through Friday to project sites as requiredQualifications:5+ years of heavy civil, foundation drilling, utility, or transmission line construction experience preferred2+ years of supervisory or crew lead experience preferredExperience with drilled shafts, caissons, piers, or large diameter vertical drilling operations preferredKnowledge of transmission line foundation construction and drilled pier installation practicesExperience working around large drilling equipment, cranes, excavators, and support equipmentStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work outdoors in all weather and terrain conditionsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding workStrong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to lead by exampleValid driver's license requiredCDL or equipment operation experience a plusOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferredMust pass pre-employment drug screening and background checkAbility and willingness to travel overnight Monday through Friday based on project needsWhat We Offer:Competitive pay based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision benefitsCompany vehicle or vehicle allowance (if applicable)401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for growth and advancement within a growing company
