Supervisor, Sterile ProcessingJefferson Healthcare is seeking an experienced and collaborative Sterile Processing Supervisor to provide day-to-day leadership for Sterile Processing operations, endoscopy reprocessing, and assigned surgical supply activities.This is a working leadership role for someone who understands the technical demands of sterile processing and also knows how to coach people, improve systems, maintain compliance, and build a strong department culture.You will work closely with Surgical Services leadership, physicians, procedural teams, clinics, Endoscopy, Infection Prevention, Supply Chain, Facilities, and Biomedical Engineering to help ensure safe, efficient, and dependable patient care.What You Will DoAs the Sterile Processing Supervisor, you will provide direct supervision and operational leadership for Sterile Processing staff while remaining actively involved in department operations.Your responsibilities will include:Leading daily Sterile Processing operations, staffing assignments, workflow priorities, and instrument processing schedulesSupervising and participating in decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, storage, and distribution of instruments and medical devicesOverseeing flexible endoscope cleaning, disinfection, inspection, testing, storage, maintenance, and documentationEnsuring compliance with manufacturer Instructions for Use, infection prevention standards, and regulatory requirementsMonitoring sterilization quality assurance activities, including biological and chemical monitoringMaintaining compliance with AAMI standards, AORN guidelines, SGNA standards, DNV requirements, CMS Conditions of Participation, and Washington State regulationsManaging instrument and surgical supply inventory, PAR levels, purchasing coordination, product rotation, backorders, substitutions, and vendor communicationCoordinating instrument repair, maintenance, replacement, and procurementDeveloping orientation, competency, education, and professional development programsCoaching, mentoring, evaluating, and developing Sterile Processing employeesConducting competency assessments, performance evaluations, and corrective action when appropriateSupporting department budgets, resource management, and responsible financial stewardshipInvestigating operational concerns and implementing solutions that improve safety, compliance, efficiency, and serviceCollaborating across Surgical Services, Endoscopy, Infection Prevention, Supply Chain, clinics, Facilities, and Biomedical EngineeringMaintaining accurate sterilization, quality, competency, inventory, and regulatory recordsPerforming Sterile Processing Technician duties when needed to support the departmentThe full QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentCurrent Certified Registered Central Service Technician, CRCST, certificationCurrent American Heart Association Basic Life Support certificationAt least three years of progressively responsible Sterile Processing experiencePrevious leadership or supervisory experienceExperience supervising staff, conducting competency assessments, providing employee education, and managing performanceWorking knowledge of AAMI standards, AORN guidelines, SGNA standards, infection prevention principles, regulatory requirements, and manufacturer Instructions for UseExperience with inventory control, supply chain coordination, purchasing processes, and surgical supply operationsExperience developing and implementing quality assurance and performance improvement initiativesPreferred QualificationsExperience with flexible endoscope reprocessingCertified Instrument Specialist certificationCertified Endoscope Reprocessor certificationCertified
