Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Sterile Processing Supervisor, you will provide 24‑hour oversight and leadership for the Sterile Processing unit. This critical role ensures efficient, safe, and cost‑effective sterilization, directly impacting patient safety and clinical operations. Every day you will manage and lead the Sterile Processing team, allocating staff, equipment, and resources cost‑effectively. You will assist the manager with budget preparation, maintenance, and monitoring, and develop and maintain standards of care consistent with hospital policies and our Mission and Philosophy.
Responsibilities
* Supervises all assigned staff to meet the needs of patients and their families.
* Performs personnel‑related functions (hiring, terminating, disciplining, training, etc.) and ensures appropriate staffing.
* Submits performance assessments to the Director for approval prior to the due date and evaluates work performance to recommend merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
* Holds regular staff meetings to maintain open communication within the department.
* Counsels employees and implements disciplinary action as necessary according to the severity of the infraction using organization personnel policies.
* Prepares work schedules, assigns personnel, evaluates work performance, and makes recommendations for personnel action.

Requirements
* High School Diploma or GED.
* At least 3 years of experience as an instrument technician, surgical technician, and/or Central Supply technician.
* One of the following certifications: CRCST, CSPDS, CSPDT, or CSPDT‑CBSPD.
Preferred
* Bachelor's degree and supervisory experience.
