Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
nThe Supervisor, EHS Family Services provides integrated leadership across Early Head Start family support and early childhood development services. This role ensures high-quality, compliant, and coordinated services that promote child development, family well-being, and school readiness for infants and toddlers (birth to age three). The Supervisor oversees staff, monitors service quality, ensures adherence to Head Start Performance Standards, and partners with families and community resources to support holistic outcomes.

? Provide supervision, coaching, and performance management for Family Advocates and/or Child Development staff.

Ensure family services and early education services comply with Head Start/Early Head Start Program Performance Standards and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Oversee implementation of family partnership processes, goal-setting, and referrals to community resources (health, mental health, housing, employment, and social services).

Monitor classroom and home-based environments for quality, safety, and developmentally appropriate practices.

Conduct observations, file reviews, and internal audits to ensure accurate documentation, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.

Support implementation of infant/toddler curriculum, child assessments, and developmental screenings within required timelines.

Analyze child and family outcome data to inform continuous quality improvement and school readiness goals.

Promote parent engagement, leadership, and participation in program governance and activities.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including education, health, and mental health partners.

Develop and maintain community partnerships and referral networks.

nLicensing/Certification
nFamily Services Credential (required) or
nChild Development Associate (CDA) (required)
nEducation
nBachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Family Studies, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, or related field (required).
nInfant/Toddler coursework (preferred).
nWork Experience
nMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in family services, early childhood education, case management, or social services.
nExperience working with infants and toddlers.
nSupervisory or coaching experience (preferred).
nExperience in Head Start or Early Head Start (strongly preferred).
nTraining
nGo Engage Electronic Health Record / Database (preferred).
nTeaching Strategies GOLD or comparable child assessment system (preferred).
