Job Description Summary

The Supervisor, Clinical Services supervises the day-to-day operational, clinical, and administrative performance of assigned clinics and/or specialty services across a defined region, which may include oversight of multiple specialties, services, and locations. Reviews work schedules and assigns duties to ensure optimal patient flow and production goals. Oversees and evaluates accuracy and quality of technical functions. Competent on lab processes. Ensures compliance with protocols and procedures. Supervises various personnel functions including recruitment, scheduling, coaching and discipline. Provides education on processes to new colleagues. The supervisor must demonstrate clinical proficiency and actively participate in patient care, including lab processes and blood draws, and provide clinical guidance and education to staff.

Education

  • Associate’s Degree preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registry

  • Clinical Credential of RN, LPN, or CMA Required.

Experience

  • One (1) year minimum in a lead or supervisor position or demonstrated leadership experience is preferred.

Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Demonstrates superior patient relations and interpersonal skills; demonstrates an appropriate level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when interacting with staff, patients and general public, using tact, sensitivity and sound judgment; promotes a positive work environment and contributes to the overall team efforts of the department and organization.
  • Knowledge of lab processes and experience drawing blood.
  • Working knowledge of computers, required.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work successfully with internal and external customers.
  • Must demonstrate detail orientation, critical thinking, and problem solving ability.
  • Ability to educate and train colleagues in clinical / lab processes
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and customer services skills, with ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high stress situations.
  • Must demonstrate ability to remain flexible, and consistently exercise sound judgment and initiative in very stressful situations. Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and work independently in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Must demonstrate ability to educate and train colleagues.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and proficiency to work in any area of unit responsibility (as assigned), required.

Pay Transparency

$34.39 - $53.30. Additional compensation in the form(s) of participation in our annual incentive program are dependent on role. Pay is based on factors such as work experience, education, certification(s), training, skills, and competencies related to the role.
