This position is located in the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Veterans Home of California - Fresno and is responsible for the overall management and supervision of nursing care and practices of an organized nursing unit.

Effective July 1, 2025, California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). PLP 2025 directs that state employees shall receive a three percent (3%) reduction in pay in exchange for five (5) hours of PLP 2025 leave credits, monthly. The salary range(s) included in this job advertisement do not reflect the 3% reduction in pay.

Workers who will be supervised under this position must be a registered nurse who holds a valid CA RN license, and will be required to provide a copy of their license prior to being hired.

Working Conditions

Working overtime may be a requirement of this position.

Employees of CalVet will be required to follow state or county public health guidelines and requirements enacted in accordance with infectious disease prevention and control.
