An urgent opportunity is available for a Pharmacist serving as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at a small behavioral hospital. This newly established facility represents a collaboration between two major healthcare organizations and requires an experienced professional to manage pharmacy operations effectively.
Location: Lynchburg, VA
Job Type: Contract (13 weeks+) with potential for temp-to-hire
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Day shifts

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Manage medication dispensing and inventory control
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support patient care through optimal medication management
• Ensure the accuracy and safety of prescriptions and pharmaceutical services
• Maintain policies and procedures to uphold quality standards and safety

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist with prior experience as a Pharmacy Manager or PIC
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations within a hospital or behavioral health setting preferred
• Ability to lead and manage pharmacy staff effectively
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
