$160,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr
Overview
My client is a privately owned, family‑run company with a long‑standing reputation for integrity, craftsmanship, and quality. The Water/Wastewater Division is dedicated to tunneling and water/wastewater construction and is seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to join this division in Northern California. Projects are local to California with no out‑of‑state travel required and the company is known for its strong team culture, fair management style, and excellent work‑life balance.
Current projects include:
- Two $100M+ projects for Silicon Valley Clean Water
- $235M Ozone Project
- $35M Wastewater Rehabilitation Project
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all on‑site field activities and crews
- Supervise field engineers and foremen across multiple trades
- Develop and implement detailed work plans and schedules
- Oversee material and equipment procurement
- Interface directly with clients, inspectors, and project management teams
- Report project progress, safety, and quality metrics to the Project Manager
- Support self‑performed scopes such as structural concrete, mechanical piping, and civil excavation/pipeline work
Qualifications
- 10‑20 years of overall construction experience, including 5‑10 years as a Superintendent
- Proven track record managing water/wastewater projects valued at $5M+ (preferably $20M+)
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse field teams
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- Hands‑on experience with self‑perform construction operations is highly desirable
