We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to oversee field operations on water and wastewater construction projects in the greater Phoenix area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on construction professional who takes ownership of their projects, prioritizes safety and quality, and has a strong track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading field operations, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, managing schedules, and ensuring that work is completed to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
* Oversee and manage day‑to‑day field operations
* Develop, manage, and maintain project schedules
* Coordinate subcontractors, drawings, specifications, and project activities
* Establish and manage project budgets and control costs
* Identify causes of cost variances and implement corrective measures
* Identify project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
* Communicate quality standards and expectations to subcontractors and vendors
* Conduct regular quality control inspections
* Ensure compliance with project safety requirements, OSHA standards, and applicable regulations
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
* Supervise field personnel and prepare daily timecards
* Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation
* Coordinate closely with project management and other project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* 6+ years of construction experience
* Experience overseeing field operations on water, wastewater, heavy civil, or related infrastructure projects preferred
* Strong understanding of construction scheduling, safety, quality control, and cost management
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and project activities
* Basic computer skills preferred
* Ability to relocate if required based on project needs
