Fiber Optic SupervisorResponsibilities include:Experience locating for and operating Directional Drill rigsUnderstanding drilling procedures and operationsWillingness to travel if neededOn-site coordination of fiber optic cabling installation, modification, and splicing work performed by crewSurveying job sites to determine the best installation practicesCoordinating workflow within the unit, acting as company liaison, and providing on-the-job training to other technicians as neededProviding OJT training for employees working under your direction on construction/installation practices and methods to ensure a safe and productive work environmentActing as liaison between Prince Telecom and our MSOTraining, supervising, disciplining, and evaluating field techniciansEnsuring and maintaining all MSO and company quality control and safety requirementsIdentifying performance issues and recommending and implementing corrective actionResolving complaints with property owners in areas where our personnel are workingCoordinating scheduling and ensuring adequate staffingIdentifying problem areas in the department and communicating problems and possible solutions to the Project ManagerDeveloping procedures and implementing them to better organize the team/departmentAssigning duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to the lead techniciansEstablishing, implementing, and maintaining operating standards and procedures for project reporting and documentationsPerforming quality control inspections and correcting issues and complaintsOther duties as assignedRequirements:Minimum of 1 year Fiber Optic construction/installation experienceHigh School Diploma or G.E.D.Ability to work a very flexible scheduleMust be a team playerFormer supervisory experience a plusMust be able to pass Background and Drug screeningValid driver's license with minimum of 2 years driving experience and a good driving recordPhysical Demands:Ability to lift weight up to 75 lbs.Ability to carry and climb a 28' ladder from truck to pole and/or houseAbility to work in all kinds of weather conditionsWalking, sitting, kneeling & crouchingDrivingBenefits:Paid Time-OffPaid HolidaysCompany VehicleMedical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance/Long Term Disability/Short Term Disability401(k) with Company MatchEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
